What is Fat?

Fat is one of the essential nutrients for the human body. 60% of the brain is made up of fat. This fat helps in body heat production, brain development, production of various hormones, absorption of fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) and maintaining good health of skin and other organs. Basically, fat acts as an insulator to maintain proper body temperature. Fats are sometimes classified in two areas: healthyfat that means good fat and bad fat. In this article, I am going to discuss about healthy fat.

What is healthy fat?

Healthy fats are essential nutrients that are important for overall health and well-being. They are a type of dietary fat that provides energy, supports cell function, and helps the body absorb certain vitamins and minerals. Including healthy fats in your diet can have numerous health benefits, such as improving heart health, supporting brain function, promoting healthy skin, and helping with weight management.
