পানি সংগ্রহের পথে রতন: দুপুর গড়িয়ে বিকাল শুরু হল। হাতীর পাল ঢালু এলাকা বেয়ে সামনে এগিয়ে চলল। তাদের দেখে মনে হচ্ছে মোটামুটি খাওয়া-দাওয়া হয়েছে ।বেশ কয়েকটি চড়াই উৎরাই পার হয়ে হাতীর পাল যখন সমতল ভূমিতে এসে পৌঁছল তখন দূরে নদীর তটরেখা অস্পষ্ট দেখা যাচ্ছিল । রতন অনেক কষ্টে হাতীর পাল কে অনুসরন করতে ছিল। এতে করে তার হাত, পা আর শরীরের বিভিন্ন অংশ জংলি কাঁটাযুক্ত গাছের আচড়ে ছোলে গেল। হাতীর পাল যত এগিয়ে যাচ্ছে ততই নদীর তটরেখা স্পষ্ট হচ্ছিল । এভাবে প্রায় ঘন্টা খানেক যাওয়ার পর হাতীর পাল নদীর কাছে এসে পৌঁছল। পানি দেখে হাতীদের আনন্দের শেষ নেই ।শুঁড় দিয়ে পানি ছিটিয়ে খেলা করতে লাগল।শুঁড় পানিতে ডুবিয়ে পানি পান করতে লাগল হাতীগুলো। হাতীরদের পানি পান করা শেষ হয়ে গেলে তারা বনের অন্য প্রান্তের দিকে চলে যেতে লাগল। তখন রতন নদীর কাছে গিয়ে পানি পান করল আর সঙ্গে রাখা কিছু কাঠের গুড়ির পাত্রে পানি ভরে নিল। পানির সমস্যা তো মিটে গেল। এখন দরকার লোকালয়েয় খুঁজে বের হওয়া । ফিরতে হবে মানব বসতির দিকে। এরকম পরিস্থিতিতে দিক ঠিক রাখা অনেক সময় কষ্টকর হয়ে যায় । অনেক সময় ডেথ স

প্রথম পর্বের পর থেকে --- পরের মাসের প্রথমদিন থেকে সুবল কাজে যোগদান করল। কাজের পাশাপাশি সে পড়াশোনারও করতে লাগল। উচ্চমাধ্যমিকে ভর্তি হল শহরের মহাবিদ্যালয়ে ।চাকরির পাশাপাশি পড়াশোনার চলতে লাগল পুরোদমে । কাজে কর্মে মনোযোগী হওয়ার কারনে পাঁচ ছয় মাসের মধ্যেই উদ্ধতর্ন কর্মকর্তাদের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করতে সক্ষম হল। দেখতে দেখতে উচ্চমাধ্যমিক পাশ করল সুবল। উচ্চমাধ্যমিকে পাশ করার পর তার একটি পদোন্নতি হল। এতে করে তার কর্মোদ্যম বহুগুণ বেড়ে যায় । এরপর সে একটি স্নাতক কলেজে ভর্তি হয়। স্নাতক ডিগ্রিও ভালোভাবেই সম্পন্ন হয়ে গেল । দিন যায় দিন আসে সুবল ধাপে ধাপে পদোন্নতি পায়। এতেকরে সে উপ সহকারী কর্মকর্তা পর্যন্ত পৌছে যায় পদবিতে। এমন অবস্থায় সে যথেষ্ট নির্ভরযোগ্য কর্মকর্তা হিসেবে নিজেকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করতে সক্ষম হয় । এরপর থেকেই তার দিন পাল্টে যায় । সংসারে সচ্ছলতা ফিরে আসে । ছোট ভাইবোনদের ভালোভাবে পড়াশোনা করানো, তাদের বিবাহ শাদি দেওয়া, সবকিছুই ভালোভাবেই সম্পন্ন হয়ে যায় । সময় বহমান, বয়ে চলে আগামীর পথে।ইতিমধ্যে অনেকগুলো বছর কেটে গেছে । সময়ের স্রোতে ভে

ভাগ্য বদল একাকার বিভিন্ন বাজারে ঘুরে ঘুরে কাপড় সেলাইয়ের কাজ করেন সুধীর। তাঁর সাত ছেলেমেয়ে । সংসারের খরচ জোমাতে হিমশিম খেতে হয় । চাষের কিছু জমি থাকার জন্য রক্ষা । তা না হলে দুবেলা দুমুঠু ভাত জোগাড় করাও তাঁর জন্য কঠিন হয়ে যেত । এদিকে দেখতে দেখতে ছেলেমেয়ে গুলো বড় হতে লাগল। বড়ছেলে সুবল। শ্যাম বর্ন, সাস্থ মোটামুটি ভালোই বলা চলে। সুবল যখন মেট্রিকুলেশন পাশ করল তখন তার বাবা চিন্তা করলেন তাকে কোন চাকরিতে পাঠিয়ে দিবেন। সুধীর যেহেতু নিয়মিত বিভিন্ন হাটে যান , এতে করে হাটের বেশ কিছু মহাজনের সাথে তাঁর ভালো জানাশোনা হয়ে যায় । এমন একজন মহাজন হলেন বাঁশখোলা বাজারের অমল সাহা। লোকটা খুব অমায়িক, তা না হলে সুধীরের মতো কম অবস্থা সম্পন্ন লোকের সাথে তিনি মিশতেন না। এদিকে অমল সাহার দাদা বিমল সাহা, তিনি কৃষি মন্ণালয়ের বড় কর্মকর্তা । তিনি শহরেই থাকেন তাঁর পরিবার নিয়ে । পূজা পার্বণে বাড়িতে আসেন বছরে দু একবার। তবে তিনি এলাকার লোকদের অনেক কদর করেন। তাঁর মন পড়ে থাকে এলাকায় । তিনি এলাকার লোকদের ভাগ্য উন্নয়নের জন্য কাজ করতে চান। উপরওয়ালা সবাই কে সুযোগ দেন। বিমল সাহাও সুযোগ পেলেন ভালো কাজ করার।মন্রনালয়

রতনের রোমাঞ্চকর ভ্রমন শুরুঃ বোনের বাড়ি যাচ্ছিল রতন। রাস্তা ভুলে সে পাহাড়ি উপত্যকার কাছাকাছি চলে গেল। তার সাথে ভারি অদ্ভুত একটা ঘটনা ঘটে গেল । ডানা ছাড়াই মাটি থেকে চার পাঁচ হাত উপর দিয়ে উড়তে পারছে। সে উড়ে চলতে লাগল । যেতে যেতে এমন এক স্থানে পৌছল যেখান থেকে দূরে আকাশছোঁয়া কোলো পাহাড় দেখা যাচ্ছে ।মাঝে নদী আর নদীর ওপারে পাহাড়ি জংলি মানুষের বসবাস । নদীর ওপারে সভ্যতার আলো এখনো পৌছে নি। নদীর ওপারের পাহাড়ি লোকজন নদীর এপার আসার কোন পদ্ধতিও আবিষ্কার করতে পারে নি।ফলে তারা নদীর ওপারেই দলবদ্ধ ভাবে বসবাস করে । এদিকে রতন উড়ে চলেছে মাইলের পর মাইল, কিন্তু সে তার গন্তব্য খুঁজে পাচ্ছে না ।চলছে তো চলছেই । এ যাত্রার শেষ নেই।যতই সে এগিয়ে চলেছে সামনের দিকে ততই অপরিচিত এলাকার সন্ধান পাচ্ছে।

গ্রাম বাংলার লোককথা পর্ব চার বেশ কিছুদিন বিরতির পর আবার আপনাদের কাছে হাজির হলাম গ্রাম বাংলার লোককথা চতুর্থ পর্ব নিয়ে । আজ আপনাদের টাঙ্গাইল জেলার দূরবর্তী একটি গ্রামের গল্প শোনাব ।টাঙ্গাইলের স্থানীয় ভাষায় অপেক্ষাকৃত উচু জমি নিয়ে গঠিত এলাকাকে পাহাড় বলে। এমন একটা গ্রামের চিত্রই আজ ফুটিয়ে তুলতে চেষ্টা করব। গ্রামটি এমন জায়গায় অবস্থিত যেখানে গ্রামের পশ্চিম দিক দিয়ে বয়ে চলেছে ছোট একটি নদী ।নদীটি গ্রামের হাট লাগোয়া ।বর্ষায় নদীতে যথেষ্ট পরিমাণ পানি থাকে। সারি সারি ইঞ্জিন চালিত নৌকা বর্ষাকালে গ্রামের হাটে সওদা করতে আসে। কিছু নৌকা আসে যাত্রী নিয়ে আবার অন্য গুলো আসে রকমারি পন্য সামগ্রী নিয়ে ।সপ্তাহে দুইদিন এখানে হাট হয় । গ্রামের মানুষ হাটের দিনে তাদের প্রয়োজনীয় দ্রব্যাদি কেনা বেচা করে ।সুলভ মূল্যে পাওয়া যায় নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিসপত্র । গ্রামের বাচ্চারা হাঁটের দিনে জিলিপি খাওয়ার বায়না ধরে হাঁটে আসে। ভারি মজার স্বাদের জিলিপি তৈরি হয় এখানকার হাঁটে । এছাড়ার হাঁটের দিন গরু মহিষ জবাই হয় । লোকজন হাঁট থেকে ফেরার সময় গরুর মাংস বা বড় মাছ নিয়ে বাড়িতে যায় । সেগুলি তৃপ্তি সহকারে খায় তাদের পরিবার পর

ভরা মাঠে খেলে বেড়ায় জোছনা খল খল তার হাসি, হাহাকার করে তার মনে, শূন্যতার পাহাড় চেপে আছে, বুকের মাঝে। চাঁদের হাসি তাকে স্পর্শ করেনা, হিমালয়ের সমান উচু ভালোবাসা, শূন্য হৃদয়ের কাছে, মূল্যহীন । অভাবী কৃষক কষ্টের ফসল তুলে ঘরে মনটা তার আনন্দে ভরে পরক্ষণেই বেধনা পাওনাদারের টাকা মেটানো ফসল সব সওদ পারে কী কেউ পূর্ণ চন্দ্রগ্রহনে জোন্সনায় ভিজতে হয়তো পারে নয়তো না তবুও থেমে নেই , শূন্যতার পশরা, বয়ে চলে চক্রবৃদ্ধি হারে, এপার থেকে ওপারে।
